A Visit to the Zoo

Hannah is a little girl like any other, except she wears a hearing aid and uses Auslan (Australian Sign Language) to communicate. Join her and her mother as they visit the animals at the zoo.

With Auslan images correlating with the written story, this Auslan children’s book is perfect for families with deaf members to read with or simply for readers interested in learning sign language.

Glossary of signs at the back.

My copy arrived today and I couldn’t be more happy with it! Great illustrations and the sign pictures are very easy to understand. Excellent Glossary at the end to say what all the signs are, which was handy as one or two of the signs are State based (for example – animal). I would definitely recommend this book for hearing impaired and hearing children, as it is a well told story too!! Can’t wait for more books to be released.
